truly ‘rich’ person
For the past few weeks, I made myself to want nothing and ask for nothing – that had been turning me into a much happier individual. That also makes this plain: real happiness lies in one’s contentment.

the power of ‘zeng’!
“Absence makes the heart grow fonder!” I beg a pardon, as a person that has been trained to argue, I will not readily accept the correctness of that sentence, not completely, but it is true, in certain contexts, to some extent.

the ‘S’ things :)
Friday, April the 13 – I woke up early in the morning. I saw several messages in my mobile. They all brought good news (including those about the F1 tickets). I thank Allah for that.

F1 tickets hunting
Funny how this time we are actually hunting for the tickets. Some friends called my husband this morning. They asked if we want to buy the tickets with them or if they should buy for us. My husband asked for my opinion. I told him, I don’t really fancy F1 (I would surely have bought a ticket for myself and will do it myself, if it had been a ticket to a Real Madrid, Barcelona or Inter-Millan’s match). I told him, its up to you, go ahead get one for yourself but for me, I fancy the hunting process, rather than easily get one by purchasing it. Its the thrill of getting one from another individual which makes the process fascinating

my PhD – brief counts
The whole process was like a miracle. I did not really intend to apply for the place. I saw the advert for the scholarship. When I saw it, it was too close to the deadline. I submitted the application for the scholarship on the very night of the deadline. There was no expectation whatsoever.

The Lectures – 2nd Day
The below was written on 6 April 2007.
I have been sitting in the lecture room for more than 10 minutes now. I left my house at 7.30 thinking that it would take about half an hour to reach the university. The road was empty, I was speeding; the whole journey did not take me longer than 12 minutes. I even had to slow down when I was on one lane road and there was heavy vehicle in front of me.

Adzka’s joke
We performed Isha prayer together, the three of us. My husband led, Adzka was behind him and I stood a little further behind the two of them. As usual, Adzka immediately went to his father to hug him. He then told his father, “can we play game now” – “yes, but I need to go to the toilet first” my husband replied.

Something about Adzka
Today my maid told me, Adzka refused to go home because the teacher did not give him any homework. He refused to leave the class that the teacher had to actually give him a piece of paper and asked Adzka to take the paper to me. Then only he agreed to leave the class.

the first lecture
I remember the last time I had my lecture was in March 2004 and today, after three years, I had my lecture again.
